Skincare

Haven’t had a facial before or its been awhile..here’s a few tips.

1. A through consultation is always recommend and some services will require a consult before being performed.

2. List/advise the esthetician of any medications, medical conditions, and/or past skin conditions you may have had. Medications can affect your skin, even over-the-counter. It’s always good to let your esthetician know all medications, vitamins, and herbal medications

3. Skip any strong at-home facial treatments the week before your appointment and any exfoliation treatments a few days prior.

4. Stay out of the sun (as much as you can) and away from tanning a week before your appointment.

5. Bring a list of your concerns and at home products you’re currently using. Be ready to discuss your lifestyle as well and ethnic background. This will allow for better recommendations to suit your daily routine and also allow for things that may arise during your new skincare routine.

6. Getting ready for a big event? If you've never had a facial before and don't know how your skin will respond. I suggest scheduling an appointment about 5-6 weeks in advance with a follow-up appointment closer to your event date.  This will allow me to address any negative reaction that may occur so we can work together get you the glow you deserve.

7. Most importantly be prepared to discuss what your goals are and how committed you are to them. 20% of your goals will be achieved in the facial room. 80% of your goals will be achieved by how diligent you are with home care.
